Gill Makes Stuff
...coming from from a birch wood in the Scottish Highlands

I make things,
and hope to show you how.

I like to try anything and everything - knitting, leatherwork, bookbinding, 3D printing, natural dyeing, soap making, woodwork — i'll give it a go - sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't - but i'll share regardless.

Hello

I'm Gill.

I've spent a long working life in technology (some might say too long...), and an equally long one making things with my hands - often badly but mostly with enthusiasm. Gill Makes Stuff is where the two meet — a place where i share me making stuff.

Home is essentially a shed in a birch woodland in the Scottish Highlands, but with a really cool studio we built ourselves in which to do stuff
